Hello, I'm Iona Webb.
There are seasons of life where the colour drains out of things. Where getting out of bed takes real effort, where worry becomes your constant background noise, and where you wonder if it's always going to feel this way. If that's where you are right now, I'm glad you're here.
I focus on that space where persistent low mood and constant worry overlap. They often travel together, feeding off each other in a cycle that's exhausting and lonely. My interest isn't just in helping you cope with it but in understanding it. What's underneath the heaviness? What's the worry really about? Once we start pulling on those threads, surprising things tend to come loose.
I believe everyone has a natural capacity for strength and growth. That's not some motivational line I trot out. I mean it. Even when you feel at your most stuck, there are resources inside you that we can find and build on. My job is to help you access them. Sometimes that means looking at the past. Sometimes it means getting practical about the present. Often it means both.
I know that reaching out when you're in a difficult place can feel like a lot. Maybe you've been telling yourself it's not bad enough to ask for help, or that you should be able to handle it on your own. I'd gently challenge that. You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. Feeling stuck and unhappy is reason enough.
Our conversations will be a proper partnership. I'll bring genuine curiosity and care. You bring honesty. Together, we'll look at what's weighing on you, set meaningful goals, and work towards a version of your life that feels more like yours.
If you've been sitting with that heaviness for a while now, wondering whether talking to someone would actually help, I'd say it's worth finding out. We'll go at your pace, and I'll be right there with you through the messy, difficult, worthwhile process of figuring things out.
