Hello, I'm Amira Barrett.
I'll be honest with you: life can get overwhelming. Sometimes gradually, sometimes all at once. You wake up one day and realise the weight you're carrying is enormous, that you've been so busy holding it together that you forgot to notice how tired you are. If that's where you find yourself, I want you to know this is a completely non-judgmental space to put some of that weight down.
I focus primarily on deep sadness and persistent worry, the kind that colours everything grey and makes you feel like you're wading through treacle. But I'm also interested in the things that orbit around those experiences: relationship friction, low confidence, feeling directionless, and the frustration of knowing you're capable of more but not being able to access it.
My approach is collaborative and practical. I'll listen closely, yes, but I'll also help you build skills you can use in your everyday life. We'll look at what's driving the difficult feelings, challenge the beliefs that keep you stuck, and set goals that actually mean something to you. I'm not interested in vague aspirations. I want to help you make real, noticeable changes.
I also work with people who feel overwhelmed or pulled in too many directions, like there's always more to deal with than they can manage. And if you're someone who spends your life looking after others while quietly running yourself into the ground, I see you, and I think we'd have a lot to talk about.
I'm warm, direct, and genuinely invested in the people I work with. I respect the courage it takes to admit you need support, and I don't take that lightly. Whatever you're going through, we'll face it together and figure out a way forward that feels authentic to you.
I'd be glad to hear from you whenever the time feels right.
