Hello, I'm Dorothea Russell. I work with people who feel trapped in patterns they know aren't good for them but can't seem to break. If you keep reaching for the same things you know aren't helping, or if your relationship with yourself has taken a battering, I want you to know that change is genuinely possible.
My focus is on harmful habits and self-worth. These two things are more connected than most people realise. When you don't feel good about who you are, it's easy to fall into cycles that make things worse. We'll look at what drives those cycles, not to judge them, but to understand them and find a way out.
I'm direct but kind. Our sessions will have structure and purpose. I'll ask you to reflect on things between our conversations, sometimes through small tasks or questions to sit with. Growth doesn't only happen during sessions. It happens in the quiet moments too, when you start noticing your own patterns and choosing differently.
We'll also explore the feelings underneath it all: the guilt, the shame, the sense that you've somehow failed. Those feelings are heavy, and they lie to you. Part of our work together is learning to see yourself more clearly, with honesty and compassion.
