I'm Lucy Hudson, and I'm drawn to the messy, complicated, deeply human side of people's lives. The bits that don't fit neatly into a box. If you're struggling with a mood that drags you down, with habits that have spiralled out of control, or with the feeling that you're just going through the motions, I'd really like to talk to you.
I'm endlessly curious about what makes people tick. Why we do the things we do, even when we know they're not helping. Why certain relationships drain us while others fill us up. Why it's so hard to change, even when we desperately want to. I bring that curiosity into every session, and I think it's what makes our conversations feel different from the ones you have with friends or family.
My approach is collaborative and empathetic. I'll listen carefully, help you look at your past with fresh eyes, and question the beliefs that might be quietly running your life. We'll set achievable goals and I'll sometimes suggest things for you to think about or try on your own time. I also work with people dealing with unease, frustration, parenting struggles, low confidence, and feeling cut off from the people around them.
One thing I think matters: I'm not going to pretend I have all the answers. What I do have is a real commitment to figuring things out alongside you. I ask questions most people wouldn't think to ask, and I notice things you might have stopped noticing about yourself. That combination tends to open doors that have been closed for a while.
