I'm Adam Bishop, and I'll be honest: I'm not the warm-and-fuzzy type. I'm more of a "let's think this through logically" type. If you want someone who will help you understand why you react the way you do and then work out what to do about it, that's what I'm good at.
I focus on people who struggle with frustration and anger, the kind that flares up before you can catch it, or that simmers underneath everything you do. I also work a lot with confidence, or the lack of it. Feeling unsure of yourself, struggling to find your place socially, wanting to connect with people but not quite knowing how. These things are more common than you'd think, and they respond well to a structured approach.
I'm particularly interested in working with people who are trying to figure out who they are and what they want. Maybe you've been going through the motions without any real sense of direction, or maybe you keep ending up in situations that don't feel right but you can't quite explain why. I find that kind of exploration genuinely rewarding, and I'll help you get clearer on what matters to you and how to build a life around it.
My sessions are purposeful. I'll listen carefully and ask pointed questions. When something doesn't add up, I'll say so, not to be difficult, but because I think honesty is more useful than politeness. I'll also give you things to think about and try between sessions, because change happens through doing, not just talking.
Whether you're trying to get a handle on your temper, build up your self-belief, navigate relationships, or just feel more in control of your own life, I approach it all the same way: methodically, honestly, and with a genuine interest in helping you get where you want to go.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, send me a message.
