Loneliness doesn't always look like sitting in an empty room. Sometimes it shows up in a crowded one, where you're surrounded by people but feel like none of them really know you. Sometimes it's the kind that creeps in after a big change, a move, a loss, or just a slow drift away from the life you thought you'd be living by now.
I'm Joe Patel. I talk with people about loneliness, low mood, and the feeling that something important is missing, even if they can't name what it is. These conversations matter to me because I believe that being truly understood by someone, even once, can change the way you carry yourself through the rest of the week.
I bring a lot of curiosity to our sessions. I want to know about your background, your values, and the things that used to bring you energy. I also want to know what's changed. People don't just wake up feeling disconnected for no reason. There's usually a story there, and I'm interested in hearing yours.
My approach is warm but grounded. I won't pretend I have all the answers, but I will show up fully, listen carefully, and help you start seeing possibilities you might have stopped looking for. Whether that means exploring new routines, rethinking old patterns, or simply having a space where you can say the things you've been holding in.
There's no script for this. We figure it out as we go.
