That's not a personal failing. That's your brain stuck in a loop, and it's something we can work on together.
I'm Heidi West. My focus is on persistent worry and low mood, the kind that doesn't just pass on its own. The kind that makes you cancel plans, avoid people, and slowly shrink your life down to what feels safe. I understand how that happens, and I know it doesn't have to stay that way.
In our conversations, I'm practical and empathetic in roughly equal measure. I want to understand your experience deeply, but I also want to help you make real changes. That means we'll talk about what's going on, and we'll also build concrete approaches you can use when things get difficult outside of our sessions.
I care about the whole picture. Worry and low mood rarely exist in isolation. They affect your confidence, your relationships, your ability to enjoy anything. So we'll look at all of it, not just the parts that feel most obvious.
Something I believe strongly: you already know more about yourself than you think. My job isn't to tell you who you are or what to do. It's to help you see what's already there more clearly, and to figure out what comes next from a place of understanding rather than fear.
